About Jae Miller

Hey there! I'm Jae,  born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. I'm a mother of 2, a social worker and therapist, photographer, now turned author! It has been a journey for sure, but I know that everything I've gone through molded me into the person I am today. My first novel, Emerging From the Water, gives readers a glimpse into my intimate life. As afraid as I was to be vulnerable, I felt as though my story needed to be told. Even if not to inspire others, simply to show them that there are people who can relate to the feelings of hopelessness when you're going through a struggle.

Photography has been a huge part of my life since I was a teen. I have always loved capturing moments, events, and love in a picture. Although I love to do portraits, I enjoy skyline scenery and nature shots more. I also enjoy traveling, learning new things, and binge-watching a good show!

Outside of work and hobbies, I love to spend time with my family and friends, whether it's going out somewhere or simply hanging at the house. Sometimes, there's nothing more refreshing than spending time with loved ones. I come from a large family, many different branches, however we are all family-oriented people. We get together and love on each other whether it's been 2 days or 2 years since we saw each other last. This has also molded me into the compassionate person I am, always wanting to pour into others.
